The Driving Jacks 5K Committee would like to thank YOU for making our 3rd annual event a success, we could not have done it without the support of YOU our participants, sponsors, and volunteers.

We do not have the final #'s yet, but preliminary #'s are showing to be over $6,000.  We will update the website and social media channels once we have the exact number.

We hope you had an amazing time yesterday and we look forward to seeing you next year!  We sent out a survey asking how we can improve for next year and what theme you would like to see!

Late registration

If you missed the online registratation, you have one more chance for the original price!  Meet us at packet pickup tonight between 4-9 pm and we will honor the $20 (non-timed) and $25 (timed) price.


Any paper registrations after 9 pm or on race day will be at the $30 race price.


See you in the morning at the SFASU Commuter Lot (corner of E. College and University, across from the SFASU Basketball Coliseum).

A few updates

Packet Pickup:
Packet pickup will be held on Friday, April 11th from 4 pm to 9 pm on the first floor of the SFASU Student Center (near the food court by Panda Express) or you can pick up your packet the day of the race starting at 6:30 am.

What to Wear the Day of the 5K
Wear your race t-shirt or other white items of clothing.  We suggest a hat/hair covering to protect you hair and sunglasses or goggles in case powder gets in your eyes.  Chances are, the color powder might not come out of your clothes 100%, especially the longer it sits on your clothes. We will put an explanation on how to get the color out of your clothes (at least most of it) in your bag at packet pickup.


Color War
We will have an all participant color war at the end of the race.  Be prepared to stay because it will be purple vs. lime green! ;)

Raffle Tickets
Raffle tickets are still available for $3/1, $5/2, $10/4, $20/10.  You do NOT have to be present to win.  Raffle tickets can be purchased at the race or by emailing us at DrivingJacks5K@gmail.com.  The drawing will be held at 11 am in the Driving Jacks office (3rd floor of the SFASU student center) if you would like to come watch the drawing.  A person who does not have any raffle tickets entered will draw the tickets.  All winners will be called/emailed at that time and their first name, last initial will be added to the website.  We will contact then contact the winners on how to pick up the prizes.  Prizes can be picked up in Nacogdoches, Houston or Dallas.

Team Registration Award
The team with the most registrations (Sleep in and Hit Snooze registrations DO count) will win an award, cookie cake and have their name on the back of the 2015 shirts.  As of right now, there are two teams who are neck and neck, but maybe an underdog will come in to beat them both!  Will it be your team?

Sneak Peak-Awards

Shhhh.....don't tell anyone, but do you want to see a sneak-peak of the age group awards?  We just got them in and I want to share them with you!


They are custom awards in the shape of Texas, with a heart cut-out where Nacogdoches is on the map.  We will also be adding a lime green ribbon to the top as well. :)

As a reminder, the Timed 5K option ($25) will be the only category that is eligible for age-group awards.

Team Registration Contest

We will again have the Team Registration Contest in 2014, but we are adding a special bonus this year!

The team that has the most participants will get an award at the 5K (with presentation) AND have their team name on the back of the 2015 5K t-shirts*!
